Five Festive Holiday Decoration Themes For the 2014 Holiday Season
If you haven’t already, it’s time to start considering your holiday decorations for 2014.
Who doesn’t like a little seasonal sparkle to set the mood for holiday shopping?
With that in mind, here are five trends for the 2014 holiday season, ranging from formal, to more natural. Take your pick for what bests suits your shop style!
- Top hats! Top hats are everywhere this holiday season. They are on top of holiday trees, in wreaths and in arrangements. The classic black tie hat is being used, as well as bright, whimsical colors. So tip your hat to this trend and jazz up your space! Google “holiday top hat decoration” for some great ideas, including these top hat lights!
- White, white and more white! All white themes including frosted ornaments, clear ornaments, cream and white ribbons, and wrapping paper are back in vogue this holiday season. (Did they ever really leave?) This always-classic theme works particularly well when colorful merchandise fills the shelves.
- Feeling blue? A vibrant teal or turquoise blue, that is! Blues are front and center for 2014, standing alone or combined with whites. From garlands to ornaments, wreaths and trees, these bright festive hues are bound to please.
- Burlap. Looking for a more rustic feel? Burlap is showing up everywhere from stockings to wreaths to ornaments to place mats and wrapping paper. Basically any holiday decoration you can think of lends itself to being done with burlap this season! Combine with traditional red and green colors, pine cones, bundles of twigs and cinnamon sticks and your have an old-fashioned holiday look!
- Bling. The holidays typically have a certain amount of sparkle and bling surrounding them every year, but bling has been taken to a new level for 2014. Rhinestone studded decorations in silver, champagne and gold will make displays shine a bit brighter.
